What is a newspaper billboard?

What is a newspaper billboard?
A newspaper billboard is basically a very large poster which advertises a specific newspaper and are mostly found in busy areas where a large audience would be able to see it. There are also mini newspaper billboards, these are usually out the front of the shops selling the newspaper and advertise a main story heading and the newspaper so it attracts an audience into buying the newspaper out of curiosity to read the article being advertised.

What is a local newspaper?

What is a local newspaper?
A local newspaper is a publication in which it contains information articles and news of current events which are happening, or have happened within the local area. Generally, local newspapers are free and are delivered house-to-house on a scheduled date.
I am going to create the first two pages of an original local newspaper, together with a billboard poster for the newspaper and two hyperlinked pages from the paper's website. Before I do this I must research into existing local newspapers, billboards and newspaper websites.

Needed for research:
·         Collect local newspapers, look at:
o   House styles and layouts
o   Typical fonts
o   Pictures they use
o   Types of stories written
·         Find different newspaper billboards, look at:
o   Layouts used
o   Typical fonts and styles
o   What imaging is used
o   What slogans/texts are used
·         Find newspaper websites, look at:
o   Typical house styles
o   How the information is shown
o   Pictures used
o   Typical fonts and styles
o   Where the logo is
o   What interactive elements there are
